The official start of summer is here and while the weather may have been a bit poor for the past few weeks, brighter, warmer days are ahead. As always, we’ve been excited to see what our talented customers have shared with us on Instagram, and this month, we’ve noticed a lot of beautiful wooden blinds. As a result, we wanted to showcase how wooden Venetian blinds can let light illuminate rooms of various interior design styles!

Our favourite social posts from June

In many of our social snapshot blogs, we showcase an array of products and styles but with an abundance of summer sun, we’ve seen an uplift in the number of Venetian blinds being celebrated on Instagram. Ideal for letting lovely summer sunshine into your home while keeping you private, these sublime images showcase why you should invest in a wooden blind this summer!

Warm neutrals

The first port of call for today’s blog is in @maria.manorfields’ beautiful kitchen! This beautiful kitchen is the perfect balance of chic, fresh and homely.

The core of this sublime kitchen space is its neutral colour palette, and this image has demonstrated how you can mix a diverse selection of neutral tones to delicately curate a space that’s beautiful to behold.

Pale walls and kitchen cabinets coupled with white flowers, a cream toaster and rich, dark woods for the countertop and up stands really makes this space feel welcoming while still sophisticated and chic. The use of form is also impactful. The roundness of the vase, toaster and the potted plants give the room gentle points of interest without going wild.

To complete the look is a beautiful Dalby Greige With Mist Tapes Wooden Venetian Blind. Where many would have chosen a white wooden blind for such a room, @maria.manorfields opted for the cool grace of greige, an elegant tone that sits between beige and grey. It’s a truly lovely space!

Bright colours

In contrast to the soft neutrals of @maria.manorfields are the vibrant colours of this exciting and dynamic kitchen by @lillyswatercolours. Energising and eclectic, this an excellent pointed and decorated kitchen!

Here, colour is king. Bright blue cupboards and drawers, contrasting golden handles, taps and a lovely looking yellow coffee machine combine in an explosion of style and personality. Keeping the room united is the use of brilliant whites. The white sink, tiles and items such as the kettle provide a well calculated break in the colours, helping them to meet their full potential without becoming chaotic.

The white wooden blind in the window contributes to this stability while allowing natural light to flood the space. It’s the perfect option for such a kitchen.

Finally, this space reminds us of the importance of adding natural greens into a space. Flowers and waxy leaf plants enrich the space while adding their own stylish power to the overall aesthetic. We think this room is absolutely marvellous!

A luxury living room

While the perfect addition to a kitchen, wooden blinds are also ideal choices for completing your living room too.

Our last image for June is this lovely living room from @decormonmaison. With warming neutrals and plenty of natural light, it’s the perfect space for hosting or relaxing in.

The sofa, rug, and one of the walls demonstrate how soft neutrals can provide a bright yet cosy foundation from which to build your decor. To make these lovely colours stand out, the dark wood floor accentuates the beauty and sophistication of the tones while making a statement itself.

Central to the dynamism of the room is the natural light, and like our other two images, this is allowed in by the sleek white Venetian blind in the window. Elegant and charming, it’s the perfect finishing touch for the windows.

Lastly of merit is the attention to the smaller details. The grey green cushions, the beautiful light fitting with a golden inner, and the plants help to unify the space in a blissfully elegant way.
