What is the best way to clean venetian blinds?

Cleaning Venetian blinds is important but luckily, it's easy to do. Removing dust takes only moments with a soft duster and removing sticky or greasy stains isn't much trickier. You don't even have to take your Venetian blinds down to clean them. How do venetian blinds work?

Venetian blinds are built from a series of elegant horizontal slats that are operated using strings to be tilted forwards or backwards, and of course, up and down. By pulling the string, the blind can be elegantly raised, stacking neatly at the top of the window, or lowered to the windowsill. By twisting the wand, the slats can open to let light in but retain privacy, or tilt to block the light completely.
