Please note, the tapes illustrated on the image are representations and the amount of tapes may differ depending on the width of your blind.
The headrail
The headrails on some of our wooden blinds have recently been upgraded and therefore you may notice a slight difference in terms of colour and/or features. A pelmet is provided to cover the headrail so the potential difference in colour or size should not be noticeable.
The pelmet
The pelmet will be left at the standard size so it can be used to cover the headrail if fitted outside of the window recess. The pelmet is mitred on one end only. This means that the pelmet will need cutting down to size and can be easily done with a fine wood saw or hacksaw. A mitred finish on your pelmet is only required when fitting outside the recess; a straight cut will be sufficient for a recess blind.
The ends of your blind
These blinds are cut from standard blinds so the ends will be unfinished/unpainted. This is not normally a problem as the ends are not visible when placed within a recess.
The brackets and controls for your blind
All necessary brackets and fittings are included. The blinds are easily fitted using our universal brackets which can be face fixed or top fixed to the window, wall or lintel. We do not advise side fitting your wooden blind in a recess due to the deduction made. The raise control is on the right-hand side and the tilt control on the left.
The drop of your blind
The actual drop of your blind will be dependent on the slat size. We endeavour to produce a drop as close as possible to your measurements, however the blind may be slightly longer than the drop requested.
Recess Depths
The window recess requirements for wooden blinds depend upon the chosen slat size. Wooden blinds with 25mm or 35mm slats will require a minimum recess depth of 5cm, while alternatives with 50mm or 64mm slats will require 6.5cm in the recess.
